We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance before your trip.

By making a booking with Kidsangsan Language School (trading as Essential TEFL Bangkok), you agree to the terms and conditions as set out below and understand how your data is used as part of our privacy policy. Unless specifically agreed in writing, these conditions take precedence over any other communication. If you booked through an Educational Travel Operator (ETO), please also check with them as additional terms may apply.
Important: Course fees and deposits are non-refundable once paid.
One course date change is only available if booking flexibility was selected at the time of booking and the 3,000 THB fee was paid. Changes are subject to availability.
We’ll do our best to place you on your preferred course. For some courses, placements may require a qualifying entrance test. Please check the specific course details for entry requirements. If a course doesn’t receive enough bookings, we’ll offer you a similar course or a full refund. You’ll be informed at least one working week before the course starts.
All teacher training courses are open to applicants aged 22 and over.
We reserve the right to end an enrolment without refund if a participant’s behaviour is disruptive or unsafe. We may also refuse entry or cancel enrolment if there are health or safety concerns. For more, see our student welfare page.
Students are expected to attend classes on time and consistently. We don’t offer refunds for absences or lateness.
There are no classes on Thai public holidays. Here are the confirmed dates for 2025:
There are no reductions in course fees during weeks that include public holidays. We do not offer partial refunds for missed lessons.
There are also no classes between 20 December 2026 and 4 January 2027.
Students are responsible for ensuring they hold the correct visa for their course duration. Our admissions team will support you with general advice before you travel.
We\’re legally required to collect and report passport and visa data. If you're studying on a visa, we may have to notify immigration authorities if your attendance drops below requirements. We cannot extend your course beyond your visa’s validity.
Make sure to apply for your visa in advance. You must confirm your visa status at least seven (7) days before the course begins.
You can book a course via our website or through our approved application links. If you are working with an official travel partner, they will share any additional conditions. Email [email protected] if you're unsure.
Internship applicants may have extra admission steps or deadlines. These will be made clear to you once your application is reviewed.
All fees must be paid in full by the first day of the course.
For internships, we require a deposit or full payment in advance to confirm your place. This can be done through our site or via invoice. Students who haven't paid in full will not be allowed to attend Day 2.
If paying by bank transfer, you're responsible for any fees charged by your bank. We reserve the right to suspend any course or cancel accommodation if fees are overdue.
No course or accommodation is confirmed until we receive full payment or a deposit. The standard TEFL course deposit is 20,000 THB. Accommodation bookings require two weeks of rent plus the booking fee. No visa letters will be issued without payment.
Any third-party charges (including bank transfer fees, card processing fees, PayPal fees, or exchange rate losses) are the payer’s responsibility and are not refundable.
Group bookings are subject to separate payment agreements stated in the Service Level Agreement (SLA).
Promotions and discounts come with their own terms. These will be shown when the offer is advertised. Offers can’t be combined and can’t be applied retroactively to existing bookings. Essential TEFL reserves the right to cancel any promotion at any time.
We try to keep our pricing stable for the full calendar year. Occasionally, prices may be updated mid-year. If you book before 1 November for a course starting the next year, we honour the fee at the time of booking.
You may change your course start date only if you selected the booking flexibility option at the time of booking and paid the 3,000 THB fee. Date changes are subject to availability.
If booking flexibility was not selected, your booking is fixed and cannot be changed.
If you cancel your course, no refund is available for course fees or deposits once payment has been made.

If you book accommodation with us, payment must be made four weeks before arrival. Accommodation isn’t confirmed without full payment. Accommodation fees are non-refundable once paid, except where a refund is permitted under the notice terms below.
In some cases, we work with outside accommodation providers. These partners may have additional terms which we’ll share with you in advance.
If you need to change your accommodation, a 1,500 THB fee applies. Changes are subject to availability. To receive a refund, two weeks’ notice is required:

Essential TEFL offers job placement support for eligible graduates.
If you are a native English speaker from the UK, USA, South Africa, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, or Canada, are between 23 and 50 years old, hold a Bachelor’s degree, have no underlying health or mobility issues that would prevent classroom teaching and can provide a clean background check, we can support you in securing a teaching position in Thailand.
Job placement is subject to school requirements, availability, demo lesson and successful interviews.
Essential TEFL also supports non-native English speakers who complete our course.
We do not offer a job guarantee for non-native English speakers, we can assist by reviewing and improving your CV, highlighting relevant teaching experience and sharing your resume with our school database where appropriate.
Employment outcomes depend on school requirements, visa eligibility, qualifications and interview performance. Final hiring decisions are made by the schools.
Fees are in Thai Baht (THB). We accept credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, JCB), online payment links, and bank transfers. International bank fees are the payer’s responsibility. Students can’t begin the course until fees are paid in full.
Once paid, course fees (whether paid in full or as a deposit) are non-refundable.
This includes cancellations, changes of mind, missed lessons, late arrival, or failure to meet personal travel or visa requirements.
By paying, you confirm you have read and accepted this condition.
We comply fully with Thai Anti-Money Laundering laws and monitor all payments to prevent misuse.
In the case of events outside our control (such as natural disasters, pandemics, or civil unrest), refunds will not be issued. We will always try to find fair solutions in such cases.
We may email you to ask for feedback on your course. Reviews are collected via Google, and your email may be shared with them for this purpose. Read their privacy policy here.
