Experience Thailand - Outings - Walking Tour with Bangkok Pat

We pride ourselves on the connections we build among TEFL participants, staff and teachers across Bangkok. Outings and events are key to building these relationships and are a component of the Essential TEFL program.

We welcome every new class with a walking tour of Bangkok (see below) and a school visit to some of our partner international and private bilingual schools.

Bangkok Cultural Walking Tour

Join us on a captivating walking tour through the vibrant streets of Bangkok. Explore hidden gems and iconic landmarks while learning about the rich history and culture of Thailand. Past participant John says, The walking tour was an eye-opener; I got to see the real Bangkok beyond the tourist spots.

School Visits for Practical Insights

Experience the Thai educational system firsthand through our school visit program. Observe classes in action and interact with local teachers and students. Emily, a former TEFL student, shares, Visiting the schools gave me a real perspective on teaching in Thailand.

Weekend Getaways to Hua Hin

Escape to the serene beaches of Hua Hin for a relaxing weekend. Enjoy water activities, explore local markets, and unwind by the sea. Mark recalls, The Hua Hin trip was the perfect way to relax and bond with my TEFL classmates.

Because most TEFL participants are new to Bangkok and Thailand we host a welcome tour of the city to help participants get acquainted with the excitement and complexity of Bangkok from staff that have lived here for many years.

While your weekends will be free for you to do as you please, participants can decide to take a weekend away from the hustle and bustle of the city to relax in a nearby province. If participants choose to, staff will prepare a weekend trip to the nearby beach towns of Hua Hin or Jomtien or the riverside town of Kanchanaburi. There, participants can relax or participate in activities like spending a day with elephants or exploring a national park. These weekend getaways are not included in the price, but are arranged to be affordable and fun.

Anyone who visits Bangkok wants a far more interesting and different look at the city. They may have seen a video of a particular place or might be interested in things like canals, rivers, temples, railways, markets, street food, art, or architecture. Walking tours of the city are ideal for those who want to explore varied and interesting places that are off the tourist path. Tours are usually 5-6 hours and allow for frequent stops to do and see as you please while also maximizing the sights by taking canal or river boats and trains where possible.
