TEFL Course Dates and Fees in Bangkok

The Essential TEFL courses provide practical preparation for teaching English. Our experienced trainers support students before, during and after the course as they prepare for suitable teaching opportunities in Thailand or abroad.

Course Options and Fees

Choose the course that fits your goals. Both run on the same dates in Bangkok, Monday to Friday, with real classroom teaching practice.

• 120 Hour TEFL Course, 45,000 THB. Our standard certificate course is delivered in person and includes four weeks of intensive training.
• TQUK Level 5 TEFL Course, 50,000 THB. This qualification is regulated by Ofqual and includes 168 guided learning hours. It is a separate qualification from CELTA, with a different syllabus and assessment process.

Both fees cover all course materials, testing fees, and some meals and snacks. You will also enjoy activities such as a walking tour of Bangkok as you prepare for a rewarding teaching career.

TEFL Course Structure

Both courses run for 4 weeks, Monday to Friday, with intensive practical training. The 120 hour course covers 120 guided learning hours and the TQUK Level 5 course covers 168 guided learning hours with extra assignments and portfolio work. Both cover essential skills such as:

• Practical teaching methodology

By the end of the course, you will feel confident and ready to teach English in classrooms anywhere, whether in Thailand or internationally.

Pathways to Teaching Without a Degree

Teaching in Thailand without a degree is possible in some circumstances, but opportunities are limited and employment cannot be guaranteed.

Job Placement and Salary Expectations

Essential TEFL provides job placement support through Essential Educational Staffing. Native English speaking graduates with a bachelor degree can receive guaranteed interviews for suitable roles. Employment is not guaranteed and opportunities depend on nationality, qualifications, experience and school requirements.

• Average salary for English teachers in Bangkok, Thailand: 45,000 to 60,000 THB per month (depending on experience and school)
• Overtime hours: Many of our graduates have secured teaching jobs where extra hours are available for additional pay. Schools or private students can arrange extra teaching hours, allowing you to earn between 10,000 THB to 20,000 THB per month on top of your regular salary.

TEFL Course Dates and Enrolment

Our TEFL courses run throughout the year, and certain periods experience higher demand due to school schedules. Most hiring occurs in March, April, May, July, August, and October, coinciding with the start and end of school semesters. Be sure to enrol early to secure your spot!
