Standard TEFL — Who is it for?
The Standard TEFL course is designed for people who want practical, hands-on teacher training without a formal academic qualification. If you want to get into a classroom quickly, learn through doing, and earn a recognised TEFL certificate accepted by schools in Thailand and internationally — this is the most direct route.
There are no academic assignments beyond the course itself. The focus is entirely on your classroom skills: lesson planning, delivery, classroom management, and real teaching practice with Thai students.
Best for: People who prefer a practical approach, those who are not interested in formal academic study, and anyone who wants to start teaching in Thailand as efficiently as possible.
TQUK Level 5 — Who is it for?
The TQUK Level 5 course delivers the same 120-hour in-person training as the Standard TEFL, with the addition of academic assignments that lead to a formally regulated UK qualification. Level 5 sits within the Ofqual Regulated Qualifications Framework, making it one of the most recognised TEFL qualifications globally.
The Level 5 certificate carries more weight with international schools, private bilingual schools, and any employer who requires a formally accredited qualification. It is also advantageous if you plan to progress into teacher training or further study in education.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a degree to enrol?
No prior teaching experience or academic qualifications are required to join any of our TEFL courses. A bachelor’s degree is typically required to obtain a work permit in Thailand, but not to take the course.
Can I teach in Thailand without a degree?

What’s the difference between Standard and Level 5 at the same price?
